Career profile

Tom Northover: Spare Parts Advisor, Product Support.

Joined FASSI UK in October 2017.

Prior to joining, Tom ran a bike shop which was excellent preparation for joining FASSI UK because he was working in sales, service & parts & dealing with customers – just like we do here.

“What appealed to me about FASSI was the supportive team that I became part of. I wasn’t expected to hit the ground running, but was fully trained, coached & supported with everything I needed to grow into performing the role. Within the first year I was executing & managing the spare parts logistics processes required to deliver over £1.5m of spare parts sales annually on my own. As part of my development I was enrolled in the Engineer Training Academy and have completed the BRONZE modules which has given me the FASSI fluency needed to communicate with engineers & operators.

I saw my salary increase to reflect my achievements & responsibilities & personally, the job has given me the employment level I needed to get a mortgage & buy my first property. I now have a company car & bonus linked to personal & business performance”.

After four years in this position, the opportunity has arisen for Tom to move across into the crane sales department where he will be supporting our dealers with their sales administration needs.

“The time I have spent in Product Support has given me the working relationships, product knowledge & commercial acumen to take this next step in my career. I am looking forward to the challenge”.

A keen competitive cyclist, Tom cycles to and from work a couple of times a week. The new premises even has a shower facility so he can freshen up ready for the days work.

As Tom is moving to sales, we now have a vacancy for a spare parts advisor, so if you would like to follow in Tom’s footsteps, then please follow the link: https://www.fassiuk.com/join-the-fassi-uk-team/
