The Crane Centre's James Bettley scores his Bronze accreditation through the FASSI Training Academy

James enlisted on a young apprentice scheme whilst still at school where he attained a NVQ level 2 in engineering. Following his GCSE’S he decided to remain at school and go in the sixth form where he studied Engineering Design, Business Studies and Art. An apprenticeship then followed at The Crane Centre from where he attended college on day release attaining NVQ level 3 in Hydraulic Fluid Power, Fitting and Welding. James has worked in both the new build and repair departments but now concentrates on setting up new cranes, repairs and servicing. Outside of work James plays for Sandbach United as a striker so you could say he has scored bronze on the Fassi Training Academy.

The FASSI training academy is a structured training and coaching program leading to Bronze, Silver and Gold skills accreditation once the necessary skills have been demonstrated.
