MRC take delivery of UK's first F950AXP

Fassi, Scania & the team now at Priden Engineering combine to deliver the ultimate bespoke solution for MRC's modular building transportation needs.

Martin Reynolds Construction (MRC) has been established for over 25 years as suppliers of modular accomodation. They pride themselves in their fast, reliable service & have relied on Fassi cranes for many years, having run a Fassi F700XP since 2002 & an F800AXP since 2004.

It is fitting then that MRC have taken delivery of the first F950AXP to enter service in the UK, having put the prototype through its paces at the Fassi factory in 2008. With seven extensions their new crane will lift 3,775Kg at 18m whilst weighing in at only 8,250kg which gives the crane the best power to weight ratio in its class.

A crane this powerful requires advanced installation expertise:

A crane this powerful requires a very stiff subframe in order to be stable. This is where the expertise of the team at Fassi authorised installer Priden Engineering comes in. Phil Taylor of Priden designed the subframe using their CAD system to Fassi best practice guidelines & the high tensile steel for the job was delivered pre-formed to their design. This ensured that not only was the subframe stiff enough but that it came in with the minimum weight possible.

The Scania R384LB8x4HHZ, R Highline cab, Euro 4 EGR engine with Opticruise automated gearshift was supplied by Truck East in Wellingborough. "The whole build went smoothly from start to finish" comments Truck East's Alan Clark, "which is a real testament to the teamwork between us all".
