Newcastle's 69 Fairs Cup winners re-united
 40 yrs on: Newcastle's 1969 Fairs Cup winners re-united including FASSI's very own GEOFF ALLEN
The men who won Newcastle's last trophy have been honoured at St James' Park 40 years on from their big night.
The 1969 Fairs Cup winning side was re-united at an anniversary black-tie dinner for 1,000 guests held in a marquee on the pitch on May 29.
The team included non other than FASSI sales executive GEOFF ALLEN.
The evening saw players and supporters enjoy previously-unseen footage of their road to the final with stars such as Pop Robson, David Craig and Wyn Davies sharing their memories with a captivated audience which included Alan Shearer.
A 21 year old GEOFF found fame in the first round against Dutch masters Feyenoord with a left wing performance described at the time as mesmerising. Newcastle won the tie 4-2.
GEOFF continued his winning ways when he joined FASSI UK in 1995 having been our top scorer for many seasons.
